This song is about two best friends that do anythign and everythign together. They have so much fun when they hang out no matter what they are doing and they are alwayd there for eachother no mater what happens they always help eachother out. I really like this song because it's about bestfriends that have so much fun together and they woud do anything for eachother and that reminds me of my best friends. When we hang out we have the best times ever no matter what we are doing or where we are at. They have my back no mattter what happens and they always are there for me through thick and thin and I would do anything for them. They are the best and I wouldn't trade them for the world. <3

[[Huck Finn Essay 1]]

In The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, there are a number of moral dilemmas that Huck has to go through. A moral dilemma is a situation that has no direct right or wrong answer. One of the moral dilemmas that Huck goes through is when he runs away with Jim after he fakes his own death and Jim runs away from his slave owner. While running away, Huck finds two men and wants to ask them what town they’re in, so he leaves Jim behind and paddles on the raft to talk to the men. While paddling, he could hear Jim saying to Huck “Pooty soon I’ll be a-shout’n for joy, en I’ll say, it’s all on accounts o’ Huck; I’s a free man, en I couldn’t ever ben free ef it hadn’ ben for Huck…” (Chapter 16, Pg. 67 Paragraph 6) Jim thinking that he’s in the north and that he is free. Now, Huck approaches the two men who happen to be looking for slaves that have ran away and they ask Huck if the man back there in that canoe with him is black or white. Huck takes a second; he doesn’t know what to say but he lies for Jim and says that he is white to protect him. But after that was all said he begins to feel bad. Here is a quote from Huck: “They went off, and I got aboard the raft, feeling bad and low, because I knowed very well I had done wrong and I see it warn’t no use for me to try to learn to so right; a body that don’t get started right when he is little, aint got no show…” (Chapter 16, Pg. 69 Paragraph 4)
I am in favor of Huck’s decision, I think that morally, Huck did the right thing although it was illegal; I believe he did the right thing.
For example, when Huck says; “When the pinch comes there ain’t nothing to back him up and keep him to his work, and so he gets beat. Then I thought a minute, and says to myself hold on, -s’pose you’d a done right and give Jim up; would you felt better than what you do now? No, says I, I’d feel bad- I’d feel just the same way I do now. Well, then says I, what’s the use you learning to do right, when it’s troublesome to do right and ain’t no trouble to do wrong, and the wages is just the same? I was stuck.” (Chapter 16, Pg. 69 Paragraph 4) Even though according to the law, he is doing the wrong thing, I think it is the right thing to do. I would rather lie to the men that rat Jim out. After hearing how excited he was to finally be free and it was all thanks to Huck, if I were Huck, I don’t think I would, nor could, have the guts to rat out Jim. After all that he has done for Huck, he has protected Huck from a lot and taught him many things, I think that Huck kind of owes it to him and I agree with the fact that he lied to the men to protect Jim.

What Impresses Huck about the Grangerford’s house is how nice their house was and they were really nice people. He was surprised that the house had a lot of style for it being in the country. He compared it a lot to houses in the city and said that they were a lot alike. For example, when Huck says “I didn’t have an iron latch on the front door, nor a wooden one with a buckskin string, but a brass knob to turn, the same as houses in town” (Chap. 17, Pg. 75, Last Paragraph) Huck’s view of success and happiness is that you can have a really rough childhood and a lot happen to you and you can still be successful and happy. You may have had really hard times but if you work hard and never give up, you can be successful.
What is so special about the books was he said “There was some books, too, piled up perfectly exact, on each corner of the table. One of the books were “Pilgrims Progress” about a man that left his family it didn’t say why. I read considerable in it now and then. The statements was interesting, but tough.” (Chap. 17, Pg. 76, 2nd Full paragraph) He is so interested because he thought that they sounded good but couldn’t quite understand. Huck is interested in education and he probably wishes that he went back to school. Mark probably knows that education is important and he probably wishes that he tried harder to do better because it’s much easier to learn it when you’re supposed to then later.
What is so unique about the drawing and poems in the scrapbook are that they are from the girl that died and she collected articles and wrote about the people who died. The girl seemed to be obsessed with articles from the newspaper and she wrote about people that died. I think the significance of the painting of the girl on the edge of the bridge with 3 sets of arms was that Mark described it so specifically because he wants the reader to understand and be able to imagine and picture this girl and the painting. For example when he says “She was at work on what they said was her greatest picture when she took sick, and every day and every night she it was her prayer to be allowed to live til she got it done, but she never got the chance. It was a picture of a young woman in a long, white gown, standing on the rail of a bridge all ready to jump off, with her hair all down her back, and looking up to the moon, wither the tears running down her face, and she had two arms folded across her breast, and two arms stretched out in front and two more reaching up twards the moon- and the idea was, to see which pair would look best and then scratch out all the other arms; but as I was saying, she died before she got her mind made up…” (Chap 17, Pg. 77, Last Paragraph before poem)

Huck is influenced by many people. The Widow Douglas has an influence on Huck because she was always taking care of him and giving him nice things. For example, when Huck came down the stairs, he accidentally had ruined his clothes and Huck says “…but the widow didn’t scold, but only cleaned off the grease and clay and looked sorry that I thought I would behave while I could. ((Pg. 8, Chapter 3, First Paragraph)) Pap has influenced Huck in a more negative way. His dad has an influence on him because Huck smokes just like his pap. “…and by and by I laid down in the canoe to smoke a pipe…” ((Pg. 25, Chapter 7, Paragraph 3)) Tom Sawyer has an affect on Huck because Huck talks about Tom being really adventurous and Tome would do this and Tom would do that. Huck says to himself- “Tom Sawyer wouldn’t beck out now, so I won’t either…” ((Pg.51, Chapter 12, 4th Paragraph)) Jim has a good influence on Huck. He watched out for Huck and protects him. Huck says “I begun to think how dreadful it was, even for murderers, to be in suck a fix says I to myself. There aint no telling but I might come to be a murderer myself, yet, and then how would I like it?” that shows that Huck is being more understanding and caring about other people, and I think that Jim has a lot to do with that.
Huck has some positive influences but I think the most positive is from Jim. He is showing Huck to be caring and is really taking care of him, For example, when Jim and Huck go in the house to raid it for things, they find a dead man and Jim says to Huck “Hold still- I’ll go and see… Come on Huck but don’t look at his face it’s too gashly.” ((Pg. 38, Chapter 5, Paragraph 4)) So he is protecting Huck and teaching him good things and he is a good example and I think that Huck will be the same to someone else.
